Damien Ertz, attach? au D?partement des Thallophytes du Jardin Botanique de Belgique ? Meise, a conduit sa th?se de doctorat en biologie sous la direction d?Emmanu?l S?rusiaux et a pr?sent? celle-ci avec la plus grande distinction et les f?licitations du Jury en mars 2007. Elle ?tait consacr?e ? la taxonomie, la phylog?nie et l??cog?ographie d?un groupe tr?s complexe de lichens, les Roccellaceae. Une partie importante de cette th?se vient d??tre publi?e dans la prestigieuse revue Mycological Research :
