Ce travail s'inscrit dans la suite logique de la publication en 2000 de la Checklist annot?e des lichens et champignons lich?nicoles de Belgique et du Luxembourg (Diederich & S?rusiaux 2000). Il propose en effet des cl?s de d?termination pour les esp?ces les plus faciles ? observer (macrolichens) et donc les plus utiles en gestion de l'environnement (suivi de la qualit? de l'air, p. ex.) et en biologie de la conservation (gestion des for?ts, des landes et des pelouses calcaires, p. ex.). Il constitue aussi une mise ? jour des cl?s de d?termination publi?es il y a trente cinq ans (Lambinon 1969). 327 esp?ces sont trait?es, et 125 sont illustr?es gr?ce ? des clich?s en couleurs.
Le territoire couvert comprend la Belgique le Luxembourg et le nord de la France, en particulier la zone c?ti?re au N de la Somme.
Les cl?s sont sauf exceptions incontournables, construites avec des caract?res macroscopiques, observables sous la loupe binoculaire. Outre les cl?s de d?termination, l'ouvrage comprend, pour chaque esp?ce, la synonymie la plus utile, son ?cologie et sa r?patition dans le territoire ?tudi? et, pour les cas o? les donn?es ont pu ?tre valid?es, une ?volution de leur statut et une carte de r?partition (241 cartes sont pr?sent?es).
Abstract - The macrolichens of Belgium, Luxembourg and northern France
Identification keys
This work is the logical continuation of the annotated Checklist of lichens and lichenicolous fungi of Belgium and Luxembourg (Diederich & S?rusiaux 2000). Indeed it offers identification keys for the species most easy to observe (macrolichens) and thus the most useful in environment management (e. g., monitoring of air quality) and conservation biology (e. g., management of forests, heathlands and grasslands). It also represents an updating of the identification keys published thirty five years ago (Lambinon 1969). 327 species are included, and 125 are illustrated with colour photographs.
The area of study covers Belgium, Luxembourg and northern France, especially the coastal zone north of the river Somme.
The keys are, except for unavoidable cases, built with macroscopical characters, easy to observe under the binocular microscope. Besides identification keys, the data provided for each species include the most useful synonymy, its ecology and distribution within the study area and, when the relevant data could be validated, the evolution of its status and a distribution map (241 maps are presented).

Dit boek is een logisch vervolg op de geannoteerde Checklist of lichens and lichenicolous fungi of Belgium and Luxembourg (Diederich & S?rusiaux 2000). Het bevat determineersleutels tot de grootste, best herkenbare korstmossen (de macrolichenen), die ook het meest geschikt zijn voor biomonitoring (vooral luchtvervuiling) en natuurbescherming (o.a. het beheer van bossen, heiden en kalkgraslanden).
Het vervangt het vorige determinatieboek van Belgische macrolichenen, dat 25 jaar geleden gepubliceerd werd (Lambinon 1969).
Er worden 327 soorten behandeld, waarvan 125 met kleurenfoto. Het boek bestrijkt geheel Belgi? en Luxemburg, en een aangrenzend deel van Noord Frankrijk (ten Noorden van de rivier de Somme).
De sleutels zijn, op een paar niet te voorkomen gevallen na, geheel gebaseerd op macroscopische kenmerken, die het best te zien zijn met een binoculair. Behalve de terminatiesleutels worden voor alle soorten de meest recente synonymen gegeven en notities over de ecologie en verspreiding binnen het gebied. Indien voldoende betrouwbare gegevens voorhanden waren, wordt de eventuele voor of achteruitgang aangegeven en van 241 soorten worden originele verspreidingskaarten gepresenteerd.
